I am trying to make a new BlueSCSI volume and getting a "no mw loader file on disk" error on the list of SCSI IDs.

I assume the MW+Loader v1.4.4 is in the wrong place?

Is it an extension, control panel, or ?

When I drag it into the system folder I don't get one of the messages about where it going to put the file (extentions / CtrlPnl Folder).

Quick boot manual seems to indicate it should just be in the system folder, not in a sub folder.

The Loader and MW files should be at the main level of the System folder (at the same level as the System and Finder files; not in a subfolder). It must be the "Blessed" folder, so is not necessarily a folder named "System Folder". You can make sure a folder containing the System is "blessed" by dragging the Finder out (eg. onto the desktop), then dragging it back in (but this only works if there is not another already blessed folder). A blessed folder has a different icon than a regular folder (starting with Sytem 6.0 I think).

When I have multiple System folders on a drive, I add a subfolder named "f finder" to each System folder. To unbless a folder, I drag the Finder into that subfolder. Then to bless another System folder, I drag its Finder out of its sub-folder to the main level of the System folder.

There are also applications that will bless/unbless folders, but I find the sub-folder technique to be more transparent.

IIRC, you can put the Loader and MW files at the root level of the drive if there is no blessed folder (eg. if there is no System on that particular drive).

Note that the Loader and MW files must be named exactly as specified in the manual. ie. "MW+Loader  v1.4.4" won't be found.

Thank you that's where I have the file. I must be having some other issue.

I replaced the system folder with a different one, added the MAC Works files and blessed the system folder.
