I have a profile that I purchased some time back that came with the Z8+piggyback ROM used for LLF, but I don't have the instructions or the Apple III software. I understand that in addition to the Z8+, there was a jumper somewhere? I don't know if that is installed - where do I look? Are the instructions available somewhere? Also, does BLU's LLF work the same way as the Apple III software?

Look here: http://www.bitsavers.org/pdf/apple/disk/profile/

Normally, yes, BLU's LLF works the same way as the Apple /// software.

However, BLU's LLF was implemented before we had ProFile and Widget source code; it attempts to mimic the commands sent by an Apple /// (ie. just repeating the commands & data observed while the Apple /// was performing a successful LLF). Since it doesn't really know what it is doing, if the LLF doesn't proceed normally BLU may not respond appropriately and just give up.

Note that the LLF ROMs for the 5MB and 10MB ProFiles are different.

Oh, perfect - that's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Except that I don't see the Apple III software there - is it available?
