Brackets for ESProFile cards
« on: February 26, 2025, 04:36:16 pm »

I have designed mounting brackets for the ESProFile cards. You can download the files on Thingiverse to 3D print or use Tinkercad if you want to alter them in a more complicated way.

Internal card - Replicates the bracket for the Widget and has holes for the internal version of the ESProFile card and holes for my other bracket that holds the external version of the ESProFile card.

External card - This will hold the external ESProFile card for mounting on the above Widget bracket (two needed) or on the Lisa side rail if the whole Widget / Floppy assembly is removed or on the side of the bracket that holds the Widget / Floppy assembly with just the Widget removed.

To Tinkercad the brackets you'll need to sign up for a free account there.

THANK YOU for making these I will have to ring up a friend to print these for me.

Hey, nice work!

When using the bracket with the internal ESProFile board, does the activity LED still line up with the little cutout/lens thing on the Lisa's front panel?

Would you mind if I linked to your designs from the ESProFile GitHub repo? I bet a lot of people would much prefer to use something like this as opposed to my terrible "tower of nuts on a bolt" mounting suggestion!

I don't know. I used the hole dimensions from pcb files.   If you use  Tinkercad (or the other cad file)  the it's easy to make changes vs the .stl file.

Absolutely. Please do!

Side note: I didn't use a solid surface for the Widget bracket as that would have tripled the 3D print time. Of course one may feel free to fill in the groves to make it so.

And Finally: I have 3 extra  external ESProFile cards with the ESP32 programmed with the latest file along with a SD card with LOS 2.0  & LisaXXXX apps installed deserialized and de-bozoed.

No, I didn't! I'll definitely be contacting him too. I'm honestly a bit shocked about how many people seem to have made one of these in such a short time, but I guess it's just proving to be a little more popular than I expected.

The brackets by @JaDaveIII and the external ESProFile case by @wottle in the TinkerDifferent thread are now in the ESProFile GitHub repo, so go check them out if you're interested!
