A few days ago I made a post and found out that some games that don't work on my LISA work on other peoples machines.
There are so many configurations that we can have with the LISAs. This seems like a daunting issue, so I thought I would start some documentation of my process.
Plan to configure my LISA several different ways and re-run the tests and perhaps if I can find differn't sources and versions of the tested software.
All feedback is very welcome!
I will be including some screenshots on request, I don't know if that helps or if anyone cares but it helps me to document the process.
My plan is to repeat the process using several hardware and software configurations.
Configuration #1LISA 2/10
XLerator 16mhz 4meg (fast mode)
Vintage Micro PFG installed
H-88 Rom
ESProfile Internal
FloppyEMU
.5meg Lisa Apple RAM
O/S configuration:MacWorks II Plus v2.5.0 Pro
System Software 7.1
All of these game tests use 400k and 800k images provided with the FloppyEMU ver.C
NOT WORKING:
Tempo (Microgrames) screen distortion, no error.
ChessMaster 2000 freeze on start screen, no error
Spectre 1.0, "address error" when starting a game
Solarian II, error requires color QuickDraw
SkyFox, "address error" on launch
Shanghai, locks on startup, no error
EPYX Rogue, locks on startup, no error
Maze Wars, locks on startup, "illegal instruction"
Mac Man, error on startup "will not operate with Cache on" does same booting off of the game floppy system.
Klondike 4.0 "address error"
Fokker Triplane Simulator "illegal instruction" on launch
Defender of the Crown, lock on start screen "address error"
Dark Castle, unexpected quit on launch
Airborne, freeze on launch, video distortion
