Since I got my Lisa up and running, I have been plagued with file system issues.
Any copy of large files or large numbers of files will cause a number of errors.
I thought I might have a bad ESProfile but I purchased a second one, it came from a different maker with a different set of images but I am still having problems.
I am wondering if perhaps my frequency generator daughter board, I got from Retro, is bad?
Today, I tried making a Mac Works 3.0 volume from scratch following the instructions posted here. It made the volume. I copied over the system folder, but I got a very distorted screen on the attempted boot.
I have run my Lisa for days at a time, and it works fine for some of the small applications I have been able to copy to the profile image or run off of floppies (MacWrite, LisaWrite, SimCity). I have 3 CPU cards one with a 16mhz accelerator and they all seem to run fine just with storage issues.
I mounted a known-good disk image from a friend with my BlueSCSI, and I also get errors when trying to copy large files (or large numbers of files) to and from this volume.
I have 3 RAM boards including an AST ram board and have swapped all of them with no change of symptoms.
I have used Micro SD cards of 5 differn't brands, all formated FAT32 from the factory, or Window OS or the special SIM CARD FORMATTER application. I have used SD cards from standard speeds all the way up to A1 and A2 V30.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The first image is what I got after making the MacWorks 3 ESProfile volume from a blank .image and FloppyEMU MacWorks 3 floppy images.
The other images are of limited use as I don't have documentation on what I was doing when these occurred but perhaps they might spir some ideas.
