Lisa 2 face plate ID assistance request.
« on: June 26, 2025, 06:33:06 pm »

One of my prize goodies from VCF – SW is a brand new unused lisa 2 face plate.

I was about to try it on after coming home from work today and I noticed that it has an odd serial number and next to it (815 4116 a). It says PTA prototype.. additionally the plastic for the floppy drive slot has a different shape.

Can anyone tell me what the difference between these two could be?

Thank you in advance

The "PTA Prototype" version of the bezel mold definitely made it onto series production machines. I've had several, present on probably 1 out of every 3 Lisa 2 bezels that I've owned. Neat, but not uncommon.
