How long should Lisa 2 service mode tests take?
« on: August 06, 2025, 03:36:24 am »

Lisa boots and passes self tests, but if I go into service mode by pressing apple + s, then performance any self test, it gets stuck on the TESTING... screen indefinitely. What could be the issue?

No fault. These are loop tests, so the test runs until some failure occurs or you press Reset.

This is used to confirm proper operation after repairs. Leave it running overnight, then you can be sure that the customer gets back a fully working system with no intermittent faults left.

These are the same tests that are performed once during startup.

Oh nice, I see! Are these the exact same tests that run are startup or is it a more extensive test?
