I have a LISA keyboard with a date sticker of 8-83.

Is this a Lisa 1 or 2 keyboard?

Date-wise, the Lisa 1 was being sold in August of 1983. But there is no functional difference between Lisa 1 and Lisa 2 keyboards that I am aware of.

Does it have the pull-out cards that feature Twiggy disk icons?

Pull-outs are missing.

While there is no functional difference, the mfg date is before Lisa 2, correct?

It's quite possible that a keyboard made in 1983 was put into stock and later sold with a system in 1984.

I have never heard anyone say, "that's not a real Lisa 1, she has got the wrong keyboard" or "that keyboard is more valuable because it's a Lisa 1 keyboard".  ;)

1983 is definitely Lisa 1 vintage.
For a collection, personally, I would lean towards ensuring that all of my components were period correct.
