Quote from: warmech on August 12, 2026, 04:46:06 PMGeneral utilities I need to publish:

  • Icon Editor (web-based): allows you to create icon files fully compatible with the LOS format, because the toolkit icon editor is absolute garbage.

Have you finished this and just not published it yet?

My icons are crap and I'm thinking about making a tool if you don't already have one

Reserving more numbers in my block, please:

419312  Galaxy Patrol  - a graphical LOS version of the 1971 public-domain
"Star Trek" game (own name, own ship names). Queued after Reversi.
419313  Moon lander    - slow-real-time lander, public-domain 1969/1973 originals.
419314  Checkers       - draughts vs the Lisa.

Status of the earlier ones: 419311 LisaFileMover is released (1.1),
419308 Lisa Slide Puzzle is in test, 419309 Reversi is next, 419310 (the
installer) is parked. (not able to achieve what I wanted)

Still waiting to find out if anyone is working on an improved icon editor...

@sigma7

I'd like to reserve the 8xx block, if I could, for some tools I'm working on. Or, if there's a preferred slot, just let me know. It's early enough to change. I'll reserve them as 'arcanebyte'. Thanks!

Done; also consider:

Quote from: stepleton on August 08, 2026, 06:43:11 PMthe recommendation in section 4.3 of the QuickPort guidance in the Lisa Pascal 3.0 System Software manual, found on PDF pages 381 and 382 here.
"We recommend you use your Lisa's serial number plus an offset.
Using the serial number plus an offset will prevent duplication of tool numbers among different software developers."

However Lisa Serial Numbers aren't particularly unique or reliable any more, so maybe someone has a better idea.
Warning: Memory errors found. ECC non-functional. Verify comments if accuracy is important to you.

Hi all, an update to my block, please.

Two FujiNet tools got built before the games I reserved, so I'm moving the games up rather than renumbering tools that are already installed:

419312  LisaFuji  (FujiNet client and news reader; was Galaxy Patrol)
419313  LisaTwinClock  (sets the clock from today's date using a twin year; was Moon lander)
419314  LisaWeb  (text web browser through a FujiNet, planned; was Checkers)
419315  Galaxy Patrol  (moved from 419312)
419316  Moon lander  (moved from 419313)
419317  Checkers  (moved from 419314)

I'm also keeping 419300, 419319 and 419383 to 419385 in my block for special tools, numbers with a Lisa history meaning (419319 for the Lisa's announcement on January 19, 1983).

Status of the earlier ones: 419308 Lisa Slide Puzzle released, 419309 Lisa Reversi released, 419310 LOS Installer parked, 419311 LisaFileMover released (1.1).

Thanks,
Tim (bmwcyclist)
