Title: Alice through the looking glass
Post by: MrSmith on November 12, 2023, 04:04:01 pm
Hi

Is it known if any copies for the LOS exist of Alice through the looking glass?

I understand it was never officially released but just curious if it has surfaced for example from ex-employee systems.

Been wondering the same. I've run it in the MacWorks environment on the Lisa, but have never seen an LOS-native version.

Andy Hertzfeld's website would indicate that it did exist at some point.

Absolutely did. Also, the retail packaging is sealed with a sticker that reads "This software runs on Macintosh and Lisa." No mention of a MacWorks environment requirement, which might lead one to assume that it... runs on a stock Lisa.

That's a very interesting sticker, the disk should be a boot disk, most of these early games and application disks were,

It might even boot a Lisa, XL

That's the same sticker that Apple put on all their software which was compatible with MacWorks.
