Twiggy Cutting Jig Rev C
Making a nice clean oval cut in the jacket takes some effort. This jig makes it easier (for me at least).
Although one can use a knife, the Fiskars "Ultra ShapeXpress" (https://www.fiskars.com/en-us/crafting-and-sewing/products/craft-knives-and-blades/ultra-shapexpress-shape-cutter-148000-1001) (aka the "ShapeCutter", depending on your country) is easier but needs a little experience/finesse.
The zip file includes the pdf (instructions) and stl files.
This is a work in progress / beta. The directions are probably not clear in multiple places, so feel free to ask questions (probably off list is best for now).
What might be a simple jig is complicated by the fact that different brands of floppies are slightly different sizes. Because the jacket needs to be held in place precisely/rigidly to cut the oval well, this jig is adjustable to fit whatever floppy jackets you're working with.
Posted elsewhere (I think) is the experience that it seems not all HD 5.25" floppy media works well as Twiggy media, with the obvious symptom that a percentage of disks won't format. This varied from brand to brand (although my testing was typically limited to a few disks of each, so there could have been bad/poorly stored boxes of some brands).
