Title: Looking for an original Apple Lisa 1 front panel
Post by: Mr.Hunt on July 10, 2025, 12:52:36 pm
Hi!

I’m looking for an original Apple Lisa 1 front panel. I know it's a rare item, but I’d love to find one for my personal collection.
If you have one or know someone who might and would consider putting it up for sale, let me know and we can talk about it.

P.S.This is my first time posting here, so I hope I’m doing it right! I’ve seen there’s already a similar post on the forum, but since it’s quite old and inactive, I thought it would be better to create a new one rather than bump the original.

Thanks a lot!

First, welcome to LisaList2. 8) Second, you're right that genuine Lisa 1 front panels (bezels) are rare. Some of the rarest artifacts in Apple's product history, perhaps. When one does come up for sale, it's usually attached to a Lisa 1 with Twiggy drives sitting behind it. The bezel itself will command a 5-figure price tag as a standalone item.

Good luck with the hunt, Mr. Hunt!

Thank you very much for your welcome!  ;D I've been around for a while now but now with this topic I've decided to open an account. On the other hand, I would never think that they would reach 5 figures, the truth, I have seen some for 4 but I imagine that every time the time passes it will go up because people sell less. We'll try to do something, let's see how it goes.

There are reproductions available on eBay for 4-figure sums. They are not Apple products, of course, and can be distinguished from genuine bezels upon close inspection - but they're close enough. If you have Twiggy drives and need a stand-in item, a reproduction will do.

Yes, I know them. I've been about to buy one, but I don't know if it's what I want. More than anything, because I respect the original and the machine .My idea is to put a front on my Lisa with a serial number of 1 and try to "convert" it into a Lisa 1, with the exception of twiggy drives , which escape my reach. Due to it strangeness, I have tried to buy the replica, but I would like to try to at least find an original first, I would be very excited, but I know it is very difficult
