Tonight I tried booting my Mac XL from my ESProfile. It starts with 3A/88 Roms. After the self test I get the following screen with no selector menu.

I've read a few things about this not being compatible with selector. I'll try it later by renaming a MacWorks volume to profile.image. I'm posting this in case the problem has been solved already.
On another note one of my RIFA caps let out the magic smoke! First time that has happened to me. I better order several sets and repair all my power supplies.

Yeah, the Selector isn't compatible with the Mac XL square pixels ROMs at the moment. Although I think @stepleton has floated the idea of potentially going back and changing this...
Yes, it's on my to-do list; I will do it before TOO too long.
