Title: 1033/7
Post by: mst3k on October 29, 2026, 09:56:17 AM

My most recently acquired Lisa 2/10 is working fine.  Even the Widget boots without issue into MacWorks.  All tested programs and functions operate correctly and 1mb RAM is shown in the Finder.
This machine has the H ROMS installed (H/88 in upper right corner).
While testing out an ESProfile to replace the Widget, the MacWorks images on the ESProfile all work fine and boot quickly.
The two Lisa OS files return problems.
Lisa OS2 refuses to boot at all and falls into a continuing boot cycle.
Lisa OS3 boots to a selection screen asking for default boot instructions.
I select Office (the only option that let's me past that screen) and proceed.
The computer boots like normal to the Lisa splash screen and then flips to a "Lisa has encountered problems' screen and references 1033/7.
A web search for 1033/7 reveals little except a memory error or exception ("1033 no such entry found" and "/7 suffix refers to process 7").
I'm going to try swapping out all the boards (memory, IO and CPU) with some known good boards to try and isolate which board is producing the error but thought I would post this in case there is something obvious I am missing before I go to far down the rabbit hole.
My first thoughts are issues with the RAM or a problem with the video ROM.
Thanks

If you had a CPU board problem on your Bingo card, you're a winner.
