Five new tools for the Apple Lisa Office System (LOS 3.x), all written in Lisa Pascal with the
Workshop and tested on a real Lisa 2/10. The network ones use an RS-232 FujiNet on Serial B.

LisaFuji 1.1 -- news, Wikipedia, the International Space Station on a world map with who is aboard,
and the weather for your town with little pictures.
https://github.com/GyroPilot/Apple-LisaFuji/releases/tag/v1.1

LisaTwinClock 1.1 -- the Lisa's clock only counts to 1995; TwinClock sets it to this year's calendar
twin (2026 is 1987), so every date falls on the right weekday. Sets the time from the network too.
https://github.com/GyroPilot/Apple-LisaTwinClock/releases/tag/v1.1

LisaCheckers 1.0 -- checkers against the Lisa at four levels, or against people on other machines
through a small table server.
https://github.com/GyroPilot/Apple-LisaCheckers/releases/tag/v1.0

LisaSalvo 1.0 -- Battleship on Eric Carr's FujiNet Battleship server, against computer admirals or
other FujiNet machines. Thanks, Eric!
https://github.com/GyroPilot/Apple-LisaSalvo/releases/tag/v1.0

LisaFuji Browser 1.0 beta -- web pages as text with links, and pictures in black and white, through
a LisaWeb gateway. No sign-up: each copy registers itself with the gateway on first use.
https://github.com/GyroPilot/Apple-LisaFujiBrowser/releases/tag/v1.0-beta

Each release has a floppy image (.dc42 for a Floppy Emu or a real disk), a README, and the source.

Where to get them:

On GlobalTalk: the floppies and READMEs are on the ACR_LISA_MacXL share, folder "Lisa FujiNet Tools 1.0".

On The Apple Lisa BBS (theapplelisabbs.duckdns.org port 1983): Floppy Images > Releases, and the sources
under Lisa Office System Software > Source Code.

WHAT NEEDS THE FUJINET (RS-232 FujiNet on Serial B, 9600 baud) -- 21 Oct 2026

WORKS WITHOUT A FUJINET

LisaCheckers 1.0 Checkers against the Lisa at four levels, undo, dots, square numbers, switch sides.
(The Network menu -- tables on the checkers server -- needs the FujiNet.)

LisaTwinClock 1.1 Set the Lisa's clock by hand to this year's calendar twin (2026 = 1987), show it.
(N = set the time from the network needs the FujiNet.)

LisaFileMover 1.1, LISA Slide Show / AtkinsonPoint 1.1, Lisa Slide Puzzle, Lisa Reversi, Tetris,
Minesweeper No network at all.

LISACom 1.7 Terminal and XMODEM/YMODEM over any serial link; dialling a BBS by ATDT uses
the FujiNet's modem.

NEEDS THE FUJINET

LisaFuji 1.1 Everything in it is a network page: news, Wikipedia, the space station map,
who is aboard, the weather, setting the clock. (About and the Test menu run
without one.)

LisaSalvo 1.0 The whole game is on Eric Carr's Battleship server.

LisaFuji Browser 1.0 beta Every page comes from the LisaWeb gateway.

Harbor Raid (coming) The whole game is on the table server.

LisaCheckers 1.0 Only the Network menu (play people on other machines).

LisaTwinClock 1.1 Only N, set from the network.

NO FUJINET NO PROBLEM? PCFuji (in the LisaFuji download) is a PC stand-in over a USB-serial null-modem cable:it answers the same way for everything but the Wi-Fi set-up, so all of the above runs with a PC
on Serial B instead of a FujiNet.

PCFuji is a Windows program today; macOS and Linux versions are coming.

Coming next: Harbor Raid, a sea battle for 2 to 4 admirals.

FujiNet tools for the Lisa: FujiNet's speed is now set and followed from the Lisa, and the Graphical HTTPS browser has small thumbnails to make viewing web page images faster and better.

New builds of all five Lisa Office System FujiNet tools are out, tested on my Lisa 2/10:

LisaFuji 1.2 beta          Speed menu sets the FujiNet's own speed; finds the adapter's speed by itself at launch
LisaTwinClock 1.2          Network menu sets the speed; follows it
LisaCheckers 1.1          Network menu sets the speed; follows it
LisaSalvo 1.1              Speed menu sets the speed; follows it; the end of a game is never missed
LisaFuji Browser 1.1 beta  picture icons toggle with a check mark; Speed menu sets the speed; follows it

How it works:

The RS-232 FujiNet has no speed command; its baud rate lives in fnconfig.ini on its SD card.

So "Use 19200 baud" posts the new speed to the adapter's own web page through the FujiNet's network device, restarts it, and reopens the port at the new speed, about twenty seconds.

At launch each tool tries the speed it last used, then the other, and keeps whichever answers, so once one tool changes the adapter the others follow.

No more editing the SD card. At 19200 a text page arrives in about half a second.

Also new: PCFuji, the stand-in FujiNet that lets you try LisaFuji with just a PC and a serial cable, now runs on macOS as well as Windows (tested on the 2/10 from a 2018 Mac mini, 25 Oct). Linux should work but is untested.

The Lisa is now an official FujiNet platform, and Michael Wottle has LisaFuji running on an ESP32 plugged into the
LisaFPGA's GPIO header
-- a third way to connect, next to the RS-232 adapter and PCFuji.

Considerable progress as usual.

It's a minor nit, but I don't think Apple would have used the system font for in-application display like this: they seem to limit it to menus, title bars, and dialogs. The times when you see it in an application window are (unless I'm forgetting) a few header items in some apps, as well as when you restart the Lisa and you see a "click to load this window" placeholder from a previously-open document.

The font is also pretty large --- maybe a smaller one would allow more information or a smaller window?
