Al Kossow posted very complete details on the Classic Computer mailing list. His approach was to use model railroad track-bed foam. I just finished repairing a Corvus Concept keyboard using his choice of materials. It does work, but next time I'll look for a bit softer material to cushion the key when it goes full stroke. The track bed foam is a bit hard on the fingers for typing.
