I do my transfers with a Performa 7200 this model has a superdrive and
a CD Rom reader.
My performa is installed with system 8 (previously 7.5.5, both are
Ok).
Some tools are needed in the process, disc copy 4.2, Stuffit expander
and ImageShrink.
The files must be extracted on the (old) mac and not the PC because
checksums in ressource fork will be lost.
There may also be problems with old stuffit versions...
I do most of the transfer on CD rom in stuffit archives. With an old mac with a superdrive you can also use HFSexplorer to create mac 1.44Mb discs (I did this on an older Performa 400).
