Using a US Lisa in the UK

Hi all,

I've been lurking here for a few weeks, but this is my first post.

I've just got my hands on a Lisa 2/5 which is being shipped from the US to me in London. I'm assuming that it's got the 1.2A 110v/60Hz Apple power supply and that the Profile drive is also US power spec.

As I understand that the 1.2A PSU is tricky to convert to 220v/50Hz and I'm guessing that converting the Profile drive isn't easy either, I was wondering if I could get away with using a US-UK step-down transformer? Although a transformer will convert the voltage to 110v, the frequency will remain at 50Hz - will the Lisa and Profile PSUs be able to tolerate the lower frequency? If not, do I have any other options?

Many thanks in advance for your help,
Ian
