Lisa 1 floppy driver Q's

Guys,
with the recent Lisa 1 thread, been thinking about this.

• I remember a long time ago, I think it was in the Mac 128 K Owners manual some obscure photos showing a Macintosh with the Lisa Twiggy Drive.
• I also remember seeing an early Mac prototype on the TV show, triumph of the nerds, with Twiggy drives,

Is the floppy drive connector the same, on a 400k drive and a twiggy?

If it is, would it theoretically run under an early version of the mac OS, 1.0 etc?

It has been bantered about that the twiggy drive was unreliable, is this really true? or is it more due to a specific company's media? etc?
