The 'safer' (but awkward) way is to:

• Remove the front panel and the drive cage
• Use a mirror or a deft sense of touch to examine the power switch & keyboard jack assembly and remove the two screws holding the assembly to the bottom of the chassis. Then you can lift up the assembly to tighten the jack nut. You can also detach the ribbon cable to remove the assembly entirely.

If you find that is too difficult, you can remove the top cover so you can see what you are doing...

Note that removing the top cover of the Lisa will expose two potentially lethal dangers:

1. the neck of the CRT vacuum tube is fragile and easily broken if bumped, if it breaks the CRT will implode and there will be shards of flying glass.
2. the CRT operates at a high voltage

To mitigate these dangers one should:

• unplug the Lisa and wait a couple of hours before disassembling it
• avoid touching the CRT and the wires attached to it
• wear safety goggles
• have someone nearby to assist if something goes wrong

Then remove the top cover:

• Remove the front panel and the drive cage
• Remove the back panel and pull out the card cage
• From inside the card cage area, undo the two screws holding the back edge of the top cover down
• Lift the back edge of the top cover and it will come off

Look down at the power switch & keyboard jack assembly and you will see two screws holding the assembly to the bottom of the chassis. Remove these (easier with a long screwdriver) and you can lift up the assembly to tighten the jack nut.
