Personally, I wouldn't risk damaging the disks - there may be some people that might be able to lift the image if there isn't one already out there
As a working piece of computer memorabilia, I would reduce the chance for mechanical failures and focus on the processing functionality - don't think I would ever want to try to use my twiggy - last time was early 90's and although it booted, I realized it may just as well have killed my heads.
