I do need to scrub the prior owners' personal data. I was looking through the BLU image, and it has the name, address, phone number, and SSN of the original owner, as well as the name, address, phone number, and unofficial transcript of the 2nd owner. (I suppose Virginia Tech used your SSN as a student ID in 1985)

I noticed the 1999 date as well. I haven't tried changing it. Reading through the strings on the drive, it looks like there's a utility to sync the Unix clock to the Lisa RTC, so it could be UniPlus doesn't care about what's in the Lisa RTC.

The serialization looks to be in the bootloader. When the SN doesn't match, the hourglass screen will say INVALID SERIAL NUMBER (or something similar, I'll have to take a picture) and doesn't let you type anything.
