If it sounds like a wimpering noise (like my dog makes), then it is OK. Mine works fine, but I need a new RAM board for my Lisa, and I am planning on acquiring one from my local parts dealer soon (they have them at Pittsbugh Computer Store in Pittsburgh, PA).
