Hi there,
I've got a ProFile that's been dead for many years. I'm also (finally) getting back to assembling my IDEfile, and it seems to me like using the old ProFile case would be the best way to ensure a "classic" look. Additionally, there's that nice beefy ProFile power supply which should be more than enough to power the IDEfile and the little compact flash card I plan to use as the drive.
Just now, though, I went and tested the voltages on the ProFile PSU lines with a cheap, crappy voltmeter. What I'm getting is (roughly):
Red wire->black wire (either one): +6.4v
Blue wire (either one) -> black wire (either one): +16v
Purple wire -> black wire (either one): -16v.
I was expecting +5, +12, and -12 respectively. My meter is cheap, but it's not usually that far off. Is something wrong with the power supply or is this arrangement normal?
