I built my 2/5 from one broken Lisa and parts from eBay
(and a lot of time). I am sure I paid too much, but I really
like the machine.  I have enough parts left over so that I
think I can make a 2/10 with some effort.

I think the kit thing is a great idea though. I may end up
taking advantage of the replacement parts generated.

Well considering that about 80,000 were built in all, lets break down
that number.  These of course are all estimates.  Remember that it was
not until the XL was released that it became popular.  Lets just say
the lasst 20,000 were XLs.  So no we have 50,000 left.  A lot went to
government or organizations that destroyed them because of sensitive
information, possibly as much as 10,000.  Now we have 40,000 left.
That seems like a lot, but they get destroyed very quickly. I would
guess we may have as little as 5,000 Lisas left with maybe 600 working
ones.  Also, yes you may have a lot of them, but that doesn't prove
they are common, you could of gotten them when they were common.
