I expect you're right. The OS doesn't see the USB floppies the same way
as the built-ins. If you've ever tried to install software from a USB floppy,
you may have noticed.

I also have a .sit copy if that site doesn't work.
Author's email is shown as cwasko@snet.net in the
about box - but it's pretty old. I can't remember if it's
freeware or shareware and the site doesn't say.

I don't think it plays well with Classic.

A little off topic:
I tried to launch Disk Copy 4.2 on my Yosemite with 9.2.2 and 8.5, and
my iMac with Classic. All three report:
"Disk Copy will not run on this kind of Macintosh since certain required
support is not provided"

Anyone know what the problem is? I had thought that this worked at one 
time, but I may be misremembering.
