Somewhat off topic... is there a position that is best to transport the widget to prevent the glass from falling out of place?

By the way, I noticed something interesting: my Widget drive didn't look like others that I saw online. Upon closer inspection, I realized that my drive is from Sun Remarketing, not the original Apple one. The drive itself seems to be slimmer, if that makes sense. Would this affect anything as to why this drive isn't working as it should? And does Patrick's advice still apply to this drive?
