Hi all,

Thanks to a very kind seller of a complete Lisa system on German classifieds, I'm elated to share disk images of a German localized version of the Lisa Office System v3.1 and the accompanying 7/7 office applications! They sent me a Macintosh disk image with the DiskCopy 4.2 images of the install floppies, and wouldn't even accept payment for doing so. Thanks again, kind person! :)
I've been hunting for a German version of 3.1 for a while now, since I'm exhibiting my Lisa at German-speaking vintage computer conventions. So far, I was only aware of 2.0 images floating around as per a different thread on here.

I've deserialized and debozoed the disk images using los-deserialize. and have attached them both as a .ZIP file and a Stuffit Expander archive.

So far I've only tested the LOS install floppies, and they worked just fine for installing on a 10MB ProFile image. One wrinkle is that after booting, they complain about expansion cards being configured in slots 2 and 3, but my Lisa 2/10 (I believe that's what it once was, it seems to be a bit of a hodgepodge) doesn't have any cards installed. And I cannot remove them in the configuration since it claims that they are in use. Well, LOS, make up your mind - are they missing or in use? :P

Interestingly, the menus have a shadow to them that I don't recall seeing in the other LOS versions (3.1 English and 2.0D). I'll share some screenshots tomorrow, I ran out of time today. I also have to yet test installing the applications.
I've also learned (again, I believe) that writing floppies on a Mac with an HD floppy drive results in disks that my Lisa had trouble reading with its (I believe) original 400k drive. After a bunch of failed attempts at booting or installing LOS from floppies written on an SE/30, I switched to a Mac SE with an 800k drive, and those ended up working perfectly on their first try.

If you have any suggestions where I should share these as well for better discoverability, let me know!

Cheers

Update: All the software installed fine, but the "LisaWrite 1 of 2" disk turned out to be the first disk of a British LisaWrite copy, with half of a British dictionary. Luckily, the "LisaWrite 2 of 2" disk was German LisaWrite, which doesn't seem to have a dictionary in the first place. Or at least this version doesn't have it.

Also, I was able to figure out the issue with the configured expansion cards. I needed to go into the individual boards' settings and first disable the ProFile etc it considered to be connected to the ports on the expansion cards themselves, by setting these to None. Then I was able to disable the cards entirely, and the system no longer complains. :)

I've attached some "screenshots" of the software. It's interesting that during install, LOS reports "version 3.0", but at boot it reports 3.1D, which is also the version number used in all the floppies' names.

I have a recollection that this is an issue with the US edition of the V3.1 Office System as well.

Thank you for taking the time to upload these! Another piece of lost software, archived and shared - always exciting to see  :D
