400k floppy drive seeking

I've finally got around to looking at my 400 K floppy. I've pulled out the eject mechanism fully cleaned it and lubricated it.

I plugged it into my FPGA and it doesn't like my floppy.

When I go to format it, it doesn't look like it's seeking correctly. The stepper motor doesn't seem to go all the way to the top of the access window. Am I seeing this wrong?

I recently had 400K drive trouble... worked fine for a while then something similar, wouldn't step properly in some places.

Cleaning & relubricating the lead screw fixed it.

Thanks! I put some "super lube" on it but did not clean or run it back and forth by hand.

I'll give that a try.
