Lisa File Mover 1.0 — moving the files the Lisa desktop can't see

A small native Office System tool: it lists, copies, renames and deletes files that have no desktop icon — Workshop sources, .PIX pictures, BBSLIST.TEXT and the like — between any two mounted disks, floppies included. No Workshop needed. Keyboard-driven (numbers plus S/D to pick source and destination, L to list, N/P to page), with a Help menu inside the tool.

Tested on a Lisa 2/10 and the LisaFPGA under LOS 3.1. Install by mounting the floppy image and dragging or duplicating the tool icon to your hard disk.

Very nice!

I see "tested under LOS 3.1" ... I wonder... are there dependencies that limit this binary to 3.1 or 3.x?

If so, do we know yet if it is difficult/impossible to create tools that work on 1.x, 2.x, and 3.x?
Warning: Memory errors found. ECC non-functional. Verify comments if accuracy is important to you.

Thanks!

As far as your question, that is way beyond my knowledge base. I'm still in development kindergarten! The first time I used the Workshop was less than two months ago.

LisaFileMover 1.1

A quick follow-up to 1.0: three additions, all keyboard-driven like the rest of the tool.

Tool Sets (T) lists every tool's file set on a disk — number, the name read from its label, file count and size — and Copy Tool Set copies a set's files and labels to another disk. It's an archive copy: the tool isn't registered on the target Desktop, and the note afterwards says how to do that cleanly (InstallTool, or a Desktop drag from a disk that shows it).

Marks: M marks a file, A marks everything listed, Apple-B copies all marked files in one run, and Delete Marked removes them in one run.

An ending filter (E) lists only names ending .PIX, .TEXT and so on — E .PIX, A, Apple-B moves a whole picture pack to a floppy in one go.

Tested on the LisaFPGA and a 2/10 under LOS 3.1. To upgrade, mount the image and drag or duplicate the tool onto your hard disk over 1.0.
