Came across a non-working 5MB ProFile with an unusual controller board inside. It has the LLF kit's Z8 with piggyback ROM installed, but the more interesting part is the board itself. There's a diagnostic port (?) of some kind next to the LED power connection, a hand-soldered ground wire near the parallel port, and a curious notch in the lower-left corner of the board. Have not seen this version previously and thought folks might like to see it.

Test port and ground wire are present at all my ProFiles and all my spare controller boards. The piggyback Z8 have been used for the first one or two years, then they were replaced by mask ROM parts. There was a service note that required all piggybacks to be replaced with masks whenever a ProFile came in for service.

Interesting... After refurbing more than a dozen 5MB profiles, this is the only one I recall seeing in this config. Go figure!
