Funny enough, I did the deserialization with Al's help. :) Yes, only
the boot disk was serialized, however, one of the critical files on the
boot disk was removed and I remember I had to figure out how to relink
it and did it with the help of the folks on this list. :)
I guess it's somewhere in the archives, but don't recall whether it was on the current google list, or the previous one.
