Actually, I think I miswrote the original post -- He's tried 3 or 4 ProFiles too, and when he tries to boot the machine from them it complains about the lack of an internal HD. This is after removing the Widget for testing purposes. He does have the necessary hardware to LLF a ProFile, I think, though he lacks the Apple ///, which isn't a problem since I have an Apple /// of my own and the right boot disk.
As far as LLFing the Widget goes, I was mistaken -- he was talking about the ProFiles and I was half asleep when I wrote the parent post. ;)
