Unfortunately the poster does not seem to feel preservation is important, or how precariously it is achieved. I believe that's why list readers reacted badly. This list is read by people who commit considerable personal time and resources to making sure something will remain of our computing history. A passion for preservation is a rare thing, and the work is difficult, painstaking and frequently thankless in this throw-away world. Anyone who had read this list for any period (or observed the retrocomputing community) would have learned that - and that the request was inappropriate.
