You might already know about it, but, have you tried building an IDEfile or getting an X/ProFile (the company that makes (made?) them is our own James McPhail from SigmaSevenSystems Ltd.). Using a CF is a heck of a lot easier than worrying about a widget. Although you may be wanting to keep it as original as possible. IMO, unless its something REALLY old, I don't care too much about the HD in my old computers, but hey, it is your Lisa! Also, you mentioned its a MacXL and not a Lisa, wouldn't that mean it has the screen mod and a new ROM that would be incompatible with LisaOS? Anyway, good luck in your endeavors. You're really lucky to have a Lisa!
