well the left side lever of the keyboard apparently was broken and what was left of it, is a short part that insert in the base not the space bar itself.
the spring seems fine, and the aluminum disk on the switch mechanism seems to be bent inside , but all other keys (which are operational) seems to have the same characteristics at least visibly"

Generally most will recommend a tear down, but I have been successful cleaning keyboards (where the problem was obviously dirty keys) throwing the whole shebang in a tub of hot soapy water w/ammonia. You'll want to let it soak for an hour or two, then pull the k/b out (or leave it submerged) and RAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT across all the keys. Loosens crud and whatnot.
