The internal and external parallel ports have the same pinout, but different connectors. You can connect an internal drive to a 2 Port parallel card, or a ProFile to the internal port.

The pinouts are "physically" identical, i.e. top row of the 26 pin header is top row of the Sub-D25f, and bottom row is bottom row. You'll get it right by itself when using crimp connectors for both ends.

Or use these pigtails for the printer port which were used with old AT style PC mainboards.
