BLU, a Basic Lisa Utility, is available now from:

   http://SigmaSevenSystems.com/BLU

BLU runs on Lisa base hardware (without an operating system) to assist new Lisa owners as well as long-time Lisa enthusiasts.

BLU can make image files of Lisa disks, and make Lisa disks from image files. The image files are transferred to/from another computer via Lisa's serial port.

If you have a Lisa, but no floppy disk to start it up, BLU can assist you in making floppies from images available on the internet.

If you wish to back-up or duplicate a Lisa disk, BLU will help create an image file which can be stored on modern media on a modern computer.

As well as 3.5" floppy disks and parallel port hard disks, BLU's functions also support Apple Twiggy floppy disks, providing the means to back-up and duplicate Lisa Twiggy disks.

BLU's hard disk functions include "Low Level Format" of Apple ProFile, 10M ProFile, and Widget hard disks. (Low level format of a 5M or 10M ProFile requires that a special "formatter" Z8 is temporarily installed in the ProFile; Sigma Seven Systems does not supply formatter Z8's.)

This first public release of BLU V0.10 is a beta release. Please report bugs and suggestions to the address shown in the manual.
