Convert a 5M ProFile to a 10M ProFile?

Besides the physical disc mechanism and ROM contents, are there any differences between the 5M and 10M ProFiles? Could you use a PC ST412 mechanism with the parts from a ProFile 5M and a rom burner to build a 10M ProFile?
