I've not investigated this, but I wonder if you could transfer the stepper motor from the Lisa mechanism onto a standard PC mechanism?

I've been looking for a dud ST-506 to do some testing on regarding oiling the spindle bearings. Would you be interested in parting with your failed HDA? -J
