There was a guy who experimented with things like that (he also had a 3-port parallel card and tried to get the third port working), but he was very secretive and didn't share much.
He claimed to me that he had two floppy drives working under MacWorks Plus, but I don't see how that is possible without installing another driver (which he hadn't). As far as I know, there aren't any operating environments that will recognize and install a driver for a second 3.5" floppy.
My guess is that he had two drives, essentially connected in parallel, with a switch to select one or the other, and although both "worked", the operating system recognized them as one drive.
On the other hand, I haven't tried it, maybe it is easier than I think.
