I agree with Al, using another PS for the HD is a good idea to try. Also, the 1.2 amp PS is not all that bad, she has some reserve power built in for the 3 expansion slots. The original Twiggys used more power than the 3.5" drive does, and the SUN units may use less power than the apple Widget does. You may want to check the output of 1.2 PS, if the voltage is low (it's adjustable), the current load will rise. My Lisa2 with a 1.2amp PS and an internal HD has been running daily since 1991 proving the unit can be reliable.
