Your Google Groups nickname

There are members on each of our Google Groups lists who have their email address set up as their nickname. That kind of defeats the email-hiding capabilities of Google Groups, and oddly it is Google's default behavior to use your email address as your nickname. Definitely something to bring to Google's attention.

Anyhow, if your nickname is also your email address, you may want to change it. It's a pretty simple process.

1. Log into Google Groups.
2. In the My Groups window, click the "Manage my subscriptions" link.
3. On the My Subscriptions page, you can easily change the nickname for all the lists you're subscribed to.
