IIRC, MacWorks XL 3.0 and earlier do not map the address space above the Macintosh ROM image (except for I/O), so it would be normal to generate a bus error for an access to 0x410000.

I think I recall that it also did not map the space between the end of (Mac) RAM and the start of (Mac) ROM, so it may be that only 16 segments needed to be changed from the configuration left by the self-test.

MacWorks Plus/II alias the whole address space (as much as possible) to help deal with problematic applications, but I suppose that may make things more complicated for an emulator.
