I'm back to LisaList, as I couldn't find the old Lisa List no longer
on Yahoo Groups...
I had to install a new account to become a member of the list again.
My original name is helmut Post and I have experiences with Apple
computers since the early 80's.
I currently have 2 Lisas: a Lisa 2/5 and a Lisa XL-
I'm experienced with the repair of Profile harddisks and can do a low
level format (LLF) with 5MB Profiles- even with 10 MB Profiles
(functional 10 MB Profiles are very rare)
I have successfully repaired the mechanical parts of Seagate ST412 and
I can do a stepper motor exchange on IBM PC ST 412 hard disks- if you
still have a non functional Apple 10 MB Profile. This procedure is
very delicate, because the hard disk has to be opened ....
BTW: I have a Lisa Sound DAC- but this part is not very good- it emulates the Macinstosh sound on the Lisa using MacWorks/ MacWorksPlus. A few Mac games are running fine with full sound support. Others are crashing...
