I was the guy who posted the message about cleaning up the battery leak. I reported that the machine would not power up after the cleaning. So tonight after kicking myself for missing out on a complete board set for $45 on eBay. I decided to try reseating all the boards one at a time. It was encouraging and strange. Sometimes it would power. Other times it would not. It turns out it was the switch on the power supply for the back lid. I just kept working it over and over again. There must have been corrosion. Because it powers now!!!!!! It's still busted. But at least it tells me what is wrong. It has the bad i/o board message with a 50 below it. What does that mean?
