Knowing nothing about the architecture of the Z8, and not needing another project... on the face of it, changing the code to accommodate an extra 2K seems like it shouldn't be TOO hard... at least, it should be a lot easier than going the other way around!
It looks like there's a ROM dump on bitsavers---but it can't hurt to ask: anyone got listings? :-)
