One option:

The X/ProFile has a copy function that will copy the STARs from one storage device to another.

If you have a surplus IDE hard drive, you could copy from the Compact Flash card to the hard drive, then from the hard drive to a different Compact Flash card.

If you want to copy directly from one Compact Flash card to another, an inexpensive IDE <-> Compact Flash adapter can be connected to the 40 pin IDE header to allow connecting two CF cards at the same time.

To do this, you need:

  1. an IDE - Compact Flash adapter.

eg. the direct connect variety:

   http://www.startech.com/item/IDE2CFINT-Compact-Flash-to-IDE-Adapter.aspx

or the cable connect variety:

http://www.startech.com/item/IDE2CF-40-44-pin-IDE-to-Compact-Flash-SSD-Adapter.aspx which requires some sort of IDE cable, such as

http://www.startech.com/item/IDERND24BL-24in-Blue-Round-ATA-100-133-IDE-Adapter-Cable.aspx

2) a power splitter to suit your adapter. There are two common power connectors, pick the one that will plug into your adapter (as well as the X/ProFile and the power source).

eg.

http://www.startech.com/item/PYO2SL-Power-Y-splitter-Cable-2-Large-and-1-Small-end.aspx or

   http://www.startech.com/item/PYO2L-Power-Y-splitter-Cable-3-Large-Ends.aspx

All of those are a few dollars, or less, on eBay.

Reminder: A device connected to the 40 pin IDE header is configured as the "Primary" device, while the built-in Compact Flash socket is the "Secondary" device.
