I've also had the issue where some of the original mylar disks had disintegrated. The plastic remained, but the metalized surface began to flake off.
After experimenting, I found that I could use aluminum foil, as long as I taped both sided of it over with clear tape - i.e. Scotch tape, and then cut it into disks, then attach the disk to the double sided foam tape.

Ouch. Sounds like it's going to be quite a lot of work disassembling the Lisa's case far enough to get there.

Take good care of that Widget, I wouldn't use it for extended stretches of time. I'd plug the whole Lisa into a good quality UPS and leave it unplugged when not in use, avoid using it when it's very hot in the room, etc.
