Shifting gears again, back to the badly corroded motherboard from the 2/5. When it was put in the machine before, the machine wouldn't respond to the power button, and even with the I/O board removed, the Lisa didn't turn on when the plug was inserted, like it should have. I took that motherboard out and cleaned it thoroughly. When checking continuity of the traces, all the traces on the bottom of the board seemed fine. However, on the top of the board, 3 traces were broken, located on the attached picture (http://www.mauseum.net/Lisa/lisa-motherboard.jpg) right above where it says "apple computer inc), where there are two parallel lines of solder points. I tried reflowing the joints on these 3 broken connections; one trace was fixed by this. The other two I had to jump with small wires, and now all three have good continuity. I re-cleaned the board connectors with an eraser, put all the cards back in, and stuck it in the Lisa. Result: ...nothing. The machine still doesn't respond to the power button; there is no indication of anything turning on or anything. I'm going to consult the schematics later today; does anyone have any ideas of what's going on here?
